Chamber Seeks President/CEO

The Warren County Regional Chamber of Commerce  is seeking an experienced person to serve as the President/CEO of our organization. The successful candidate must be a skilled communicator and team builder. We are seeking an energetic motivator who can build positive relationships that will facilitate meaningful action and accomplishments in our community. These relationships include the Board of Directors, volunteers, members, along with community and governmental leaders. Qualified candidates should have experience and knowledge in chamber programs as well as experience in leading Chamber of Commerce and Economic Development activities. This position is responsible for the coordination of the Chamber organizational structure and procedures, motivation of volunteers, supervision of Chamber staff, long range planning and recruiting, and maintaining membership. Salary of $50,000+,commensurate with experience.

Requirements:

A Bachelors Degree in a related field including marketing, business administration and/or a minimum of five years experience in chamber work is preferred but not mandatory. This person must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong organizational skills, be self-motivated, progressive thinking and innovative. Strong marketing and business management experiences are preferred. Experience in preparing and operating within a budget is expected. This person must have excellent interpersonal relationship skills and be able to work closely with many different organizations within the community. Previous experience in economic development and tourism is a definite plus. A participant of the U.S. Chamber’s Institute of Management and/or International Economic Development Council Certified Economic Developer (CEcD) designation is desirable.
